Cost of Incarceration:  Average stay of criminal = 2 years x $22,000 = $44,000  (recidivsim in US females is 58%)

Cost of Pregnancy & Welfare:  AR mom of 2 with TANF, food stamps, and medicaid = $13809/yr and they are most likely to stay on as long as their children live with them.  15 years = over $200,000 in public assistance.

19,500 -- the number of pregnancies and births covered by medicaid in AR in 2005 --- at an average cost of $5000 each that is nearly a $100 million price tag for the public to bear.

Cost of Sheltering homeless person:  Over $35,000 per year per person sheltered.

At Saving Grace, our goal is simple: make available affordable and temporary housing, encourage the development of vital and relevant skills, and offer relationships and connections that will sustain them when they leave ... the result is a better prepared young woman ready to make her contribution to our community.

The partners program figures below reflects the costs associated with the three primary programs of SGI for one residents for one month.  Our guardians of grace have graciously agreed to provide for 4 or more months of care for one resident.
